North Carolina vs. N.M.- The police executed a search warrant at the Defendant’s residence and they found cocaine during the search.  The charges got dismissed before indictment.

 

Offense: (F) Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana and (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Result: Dismissed Felony and Plead Guilty to Misdemeanor

North Carolina vs. M.A.- The police executed a search warrant at the Defendant’s residence where they found marijuana and evidence that the Defendant was selling the controlled substance.  I was able to negotiate with the prosecutor and help my client avoid a felony conviction

 

Offense: (F) Possession of Stolen Goods
Result: Charge Reduced to Misdemeanor

North Carolina vs. P.W.: The State alleged that my client stole over $1000.00 worth of golf clubs from a golf store.  I was able to talk with the prosecutor and get my client a misdemeanor plea.

 

Offense: (M) Assault by Pointing a Gun and (M) Communicating Threats
Results: All Charges Dismissed

North Carolina vs. M.B– This was a domestic violence case where the alleged victim said that my client pointed a gun at him/her and threated to kill him/her.  The State dismissed the charges in district court.

 

Offense: (M) Assault Inflicting Serious Injury
Result: Charge Dismissed

North Carolina vs. N.W.- The State alleged that my client was involved in a physical altercation with an individual and that the individual suffered serious injuries.  My client was the one that actually ended up having to go to the hospital.  The prosecutor dismissed the charges against my client in district court.

 

Charge: (M) Possession of Marijuana and (M) Expired Registration Violation
Result: Charges Dismissed

North Carolina vs. J.A.- The Defendant was stopped for having expired tags and the officer found marijuana in Defendant’s car.  I was able to negotiate with the Assistant District Attorney and was ultimately able to get the charges dismissed.

 

Charge: (M) Consumption of Alcohol by someone 19 or 20
Result: Charge Dismissed

North Carolina vs. K.T.- My client was in downtown Charlotte when an officer detected alcohol coming from the Defendant’s breath.  The officer had the Defendant blow into an alcosensor and was able to see that the Defendant had consumed alcohol.  I was able to negotiate a dismissal of the charges with the prosecutor.

 

Charge: (M) False Statement to Police, (M) Fake Driver’s License, and (M) Fictitious Registration.
Result: Charges Dismissed

North Carolina vs. P.P.- The police believed that my client made false statements in a police investigation in order to collect insurance proceeds.  I was able to explain my client’s side of the story to the prosecutor and got all of the charges dismissed.

 

Charge: (M) DWLR and (M) Fictitious Information to Police
Result: Fictitious Information Dismissed and PJC on DWLR

North Carolina vs. J.S.- The Defendant was charged with a routine traffic violation and the officer determined that my client was driving with a revoked license.  The year prior to this case the Defendant had plead to 2 DWLR offenses in district court.  I was able to get a PJC for my client, which prevented my client’s license from being revoked for an additional period of time.
